00:00:09:27 Welcome back, I'm Jim Dupree
00:00:11:22 and this is Hottt TopiXXX,
00:00:14:10 ready for our third and final topic, and it is a big one.
00:00:19:08 "What is currently illegal that should be made legal?"
00:00:25:28 Lot of things that are illegal folks,
00:00:27:15 you've got a wide range of things to choose from.
00:00:29:22 Rob, we'll start with you.
00:00:30:28 I'd say Insider trading.
00:00:32:13 Insider trading. Insider trading, because basically
00:00:34:28 that rule is really just making it hard
00:00:37:08 for the people on the inside to get rich,
00:00:40:00 and isn't the whole point for someone,
00:00:42:13 so you can get rich.
00:00:44:11 Why can't we use that to our advantage?
00:00:46:13 Excellent point! Who are we hurting?
00:00:48:04 I'm sorry.
00:00:49:28 What is currently illegal
00:00:51:28 illegal that should be made...
00:00:53:06 ...that should be legalized. ...should be legalized.
00:00:56:18 Anything that's currently illegal.
00:00:57:28 ...that should be legalized.
00:00:59:14 Theft? Yeah, okay.
00:01:01:03 So, I mean,
00:01:02:28 of course we know
00:01:04:04 the major national topic of discussion at this point
00:01:07:08 would be about narcotics and marijuana,
00:01:09:28 should that be illegal?
00:01:11:14 I'm going to leave that.
00:01:12:20 There is a law in Halifax, Nova Scotia, perhaps you've
00:01:15:15 heard of it, that makes it illegal to put money into the
00:01:19:28 parking meter of someone else's car if that's not your car.
00:01:23:03 In other words, if your parking meter runs out...
00:01:26:04 Someone else cannot go
00:01:27:24 and put a quarter into a parking meter to extend that time.
00:01:31:08 They can get a ticket for that.
00:01:32:19 Basically, I think, they call it the Robin Hood Law.
00:01:35:23 They may well.
00:01:37:23 And that law, that should be stricken.
00:01:40:09 Joe, you brought up narcotics?
00:01:43:11 You didn't want to touch it, I'm going to touch it.
00:01:45:15 There are many, many narcotics that should be...
00:01:47:19 How hard are you going to touch it?
00:01:48:28 Well, watch as I touch.
00:01:53:18 There are many, many drugs that should be legal, for instance,
00:01:57:10 weed, ganja, hash, hashish, bottle tokes, [inaudible], BTs,
00:02:07:04 bottlers, beetlers
00:02:08:12 Explain, what's the rationale there,
00:02:12:06 because I've heard this argument before?
00:02:13:13 Well, I mean, for so many reasons,
00:02:15:27 all of these different drugs can help us as a humanity,
00:02:20:17 to become smarter, healthier, brighter,
00:02:24:09 and what I find the fact that we are denied
00:02:28:02 the ability to become a much happier race,
00:02:34:18 just because of the fact that
00:02:36:27 they are not readily available
00:02:40:14 at your local drugstore,
00:02:41:26 and I don't know, I just think we are
00:02:44:08 really, truly being denied a great, great medical.
00:02:47:08 I want to jump in here, and I want to talk about
00:02:49:28 sort of this idea of the slippery slope.
00:02:51:28 Okay. Right?
00:02:53:08 Now, when people talk about drugs and they talk about
00:02:55:20 legalizing certain drugs, they talk about this slippery slope.
00:02:59:18 Have you ever maybe been out
00:03:03:04 and seen somebody using drugs
00:03:05:29 on a wet grass, on an incline...
00:03:08:08 Oh yes, Jim.
00:03:09:15 Right, Now that's real danger.
00:03:11:08 Right, because what's at the bottom of that slippery slope.
00:03:13:25 You could be messed up cuckoo... in the head.
00:03:16:09 You could be.
00:03:17:15 And you could be running along, slip on a wet patch,
00:03:20:02 go down that slippery slope,
00:03:22:15 what's at the bottom, an alligator, a crocodile,
00:03:24:27 a heroin needle?
00:03:26:28 Anything is possible but
00:03:28:20 if we would just allow some of these herbal remedies
00:03:32:24 to be used,
00:03:34:14 your slope that you're referring to
00:03:35:28 is probably at a concert.
00:03:37:28 So what better place to actually have free access to
00:03:44:28 joints, to refer...
00:03:47:13 Slip and slide. Why not?
00:03:48:28 Slip and slide, Shela where do you sit on this?
00:03:52:11 I think, when you say slippery slope,
00:03:55:12 you're referring to the gateway drug.
00:03:57:18 I think, you're referring to the concept of gateway drugs.
00:04:01:00 You look at the recent statistics from emergency rooms
00:04:03:08 across the country, that's one of the leading
00:04:05:08 causes of fractures, at fracture clinics, people walking with
00:04:08:15 broken bones from falling down that slippery slope,
00:04:11:11 while presumably on some sort of psychedelic drugs.
00:04:16:11 Yeah.
00:04:17:17 Wait, is that a drug? Psychedelic drugs?
00:04:19:27 Drugs. Yeah.
00:04:21:22 Well... I'm from South Africa, so I'm not familiar with drugs.
00:04:24:10 What kind of drugs do they have in South Africa?
00:04:27:13 Do they use betel nuts?
00:04:28:28 Betel nuts? Betel nuts.
00:04:30:08 We don't use them.
00:04:32:12 We do pick them and export them overseas,
00:04:34:22 but generally the local people don't touch those.
00:04:37:00 Okay.
00:04:38:07 I want to switch gears a little bit,
00:04:41:15 something that I think we should legalize is the Circus.
00:04:43:15 Where do you guys stand on that?
00:04:45:18 I think that's crazy talk.
00:04:47:10 First thing, the circus is; it's cruel and it's obscene.
00:04:51:13 It's also legal.
00:04:54:05 Why are then are they always running from town to town?
00:04:58:19 Why, are there missing teeth?
00:05:02:14 Why is the circus always on the run if they're up to totally,
00:05:06:28 things that are fine, things that are all above board?
00:05:12:13 That's a really good question.
00:05:14:07 No, it isn't
00:05:17:28 When was the circus legalized, was this very recently?
00:05:21:08 Maybe no one has... circus performance yet.
00:05:23:09 Is the circus legal in South Africa?
00:05:25:13 It is at the moment.
00:05:26:20 Let me tell you, it is not a pretty site.
00:05:29:28 How many children dead as a result?
00:05:32:06 None yet, but there's thousands juggling in the streets,
00:05:35:04 like in front of everyone.
00:05:37:00 Alright, we're going to have to call it there,
00:05:38:08 but we've got more hot topics coming up.
00:05:40:29 So stick around!
