00:00:09:12 Welcome back to Hottts Topixxx.
00:00:12:07 We are ready for our second topic,
00:00:14:02 and it's a bit of a sensitive one.
00:00:15:12 We are talking torture.
00:00:17:08 You might have heard of torture.
00:00:18:21 But what is it really? How do we define it?
00:00:21:18 What do we talk about when we talk about torture?
00:00:23:24 And is it ever okay to use it?
00:00:26:18 Jerry, I want to go to you first.
00:00:29:04 First I want to sort of lay the groundwork for this.
00:00:31:13 When we talk about torture what are you thinking of?
00:00:33:18 How do we define it?
00:00:35:08 I think of rather unpleasant experience for the torturee.
00:00:42:01 The torturer would probably not have to deal with
00:00:46:11 too much of the pain side of things.
00:00:49:18 But there would be long-term emotional
00:00:51:29 and psychological effects for the torturer or...
00:00:55:10 You think that the torturer was... unless they graduated
00:00:59:24 from some sort of community college course
00:01:01:28 that they would have a hard time dealing with
00:01:04:17 what they had to deal with, a torturous situation
00:01:08:11 and I recently had to go through, actually everyone
00:01:11:12 has to go through this at some time in their life or another.
00:01:13:12 I had a... it would be a prostrate exam,
00:01:18:10 like a rectal exam.
00:01:20:06 With that one.
00:01:22:19 Yeah, that's scary Jim, because my doctor's finger
00:01:27:21 actually I wish was as sausagy as yours.
00:01:30:28 I would call it supple.
00:01:32:29 Supple would have been great.
00:01:34:18 This is my supple finger meat.
00:01:35:28 Supple would have been Christmas, but unfortunately
00:01:39:12 his finger was like a wiry, bony, bottle brush.
00:01:43:18 Bony rectal exam.
00:01:44:28 Terrible! Torture! That was torture.
00:01:46:08 Shela! What do you think of when we are talking about torture?
00:01:51:18 Well, not that, although that does sound awful.
00:01:56:12 I have to say that does sound awful.
00:01:57:21 It wasn't good.
00:01:58:27 No.
00:02:00:08 But I mean torture if we are going to speak seriously Jim,
00:02:02:20 that torture is the... I don't actually have the definition,
00:02:07:05 handy, but it would be one person's actions upon another
00:02:13:18 on purpose, to cause pain, to cause harm,
00:02:15:09 usually with the intention of extracting something,
00:02:17:28 information and so forth.
00:02:21:15 I have to say categorically I am against torture.
00:02:25:02 You are pro-torture?
00:02:26:12 No sir. Against torture.
00:02:28:22 You are... so pro?
00:02:30:01 Again... no anti, anti-torture, Jim.
00:02:35:03 Rob, I want to get your reaction to a clip.
00:02:38:02 Now I want to warn our viewers,
00:02:40:03 this might be a little bit disturbing.
00:02:42:28 You might have heard of this technique called Water Boarding,
00:02:46:11 and this is very controversial.
00:02:47:28 Some people will consider this actual torture,
00:02:50:22 some people call it an advanced interrogation technique.
00:02:54:06 It's not really clear whether it's torture or not.
00:02:58:09 And this is some interesting territory,
00:03:00:08 because I think we get into a really slippery definition
00:03:03:05 when we talk about Water Boarding.
00:03:05:21 Can we roll the clip? Can we see this here?
00:03:08:04 [Music]
00:03:53:03 Right, to me that actually looks not like torture at all.
00:03:56:24 That looks like a lot of fun.
00:03:58:01 He is catching some nice air there.
00:03:59:25 I believe this was shot... was this shot in South Africa?
00:04:03:05 Well it may have been.
00:04:05:06 Those do look like the great Cape Mountains.
00:04:07:10 I would say 4:06.
00:04:09:22 That looks like a heck of a lot of fun.
00:04:12:01 But to somebody having that much... being around that much
00:04:16:16 water, maybe getting some down in your nose and throat that
00:04:19:10 would be... some people would call that Torture.
00:04:20:22 Well, I mean torture I guess is defined
00:04:23:02 in the eyes of the torturee.
00:04:24:17 A true story, Guantanamo Bay, they played "Babylon"
00:04:30:18 by David Gray over and over and over
00:04:33:12 and that's a beautiful song. I could listen to it all day.
00:04:36:01 But for someone coming from a different culture
00:04:38:09 who is also a bit of a...
00:04:40:09 Oh, okay, okay, okay, sorry. Okay.
00:04:43:12 That's not...
00:04:46:04 Water Boarding.
00:04:47:10 Yeah, no, that's actually not what they are talking about.
00:04:50:01 No, and this is what I am talking about like some people
00:04:51:18 consider it torture, some people don't, and there is a wide range No, no, no.
00:04:54:28 Like for a lot of people that's fun.
00:04:57:13 For a lot of people they would be maybe terrified of water
00:04:59:28 or they don't like motor sports or motor boats.
00:05:02:15 You see it's funny because I think a different person
00:05:04:13 feels differently about different things and I disagree. No, no. No sir that is not...
00:05:08:13 I think that water boarding wasn't good
00:05:11:03 and that David Gray song is not good at all. No.
00:05:15:03 So here's the question, is it a matter of perspective?
00:05:17:22 No. And I guess that's what I am trying to...
00:05:20:02 Are there hard lines?
00:05:21:08 Maybe. And here's one,
00:05:23:11 that's not the water boarding that you read about.
00:05:26:07 I typed it in. They were underwater and they were boarding.
00:05:28:22 Yeah.
00:05:30:04 There was water and there were boards. I can't argue with that.
00:05:31:28 But I can only tell you gentlemen that that is not
00:05:34:08 indeed, in fact at all the torture tactics.
00:05:37:09 The video that we saw looked like that David Gray video,
00:05:39:25 the video of that song, Babylon.
00:05:41:13 It actually did have a strange resemblance, uncanny if you may.
00:05:43:28 So then... Both of those things, the song and the outdoor
00:05:47:18 water sports that says summer-time fun to me.
00:05:50:01 We are talking the same language then, aren't we?
00:05:51:08 Yeah.
00:05:52:28 I am not sure, I understand your point here.
00:05:55:15 Is it that you think that's torture?
00:06:00:04 No. That's not water boarding in the context
00:06:05:27 that you are talking about, Jim.
00:06:07:21 I don't want to embarrass you, I don't... I am just saying that
00:06:10:03 that's not actually...
00:06:11:13 Do you think it would be okay to use that technique to get
00:06:15:10 information from somebody? Is there a context...
00:06:17:08 I would prefer that they would try that instead of...
00:06:20:02 It's like we need to have the plants to the
00:06:22:08 nuclear power plant, we are going to destroy it,
00:06:25:18 let's go fire up the jet-skis, right?
00:06:28:27 Is that appropriate, if lives are at stake?
00:06:32:21 Why don't you suggest it?
00:06:35:18 Certainly divided minds here on the panel.
00:06:39:28 Stick around because when we come back we are talking of
00:06:44:13 what is it you are going to want to stick around, illegal stuff.
