What's that?
What did you day? Can you speak up?

Hello friends. Are you finding it hard to listen to regular conversations? Do you fail to hear the warning call of a fire alarm? Do you feel left out of the conversation due to that constant ringing in your ears? Well then, you may be yet another victim of the iPod's extreme volume levels. I am a lawyer and I need your help to make more money. Please fill my pockets by joining in a frivolous class action suit against Apple Computers. It's their fault you're losing your hearing. They created the iPod and they made it loud. Don't fret friends. It doesn't matter if you were too work the volume controls and keep them at an acceptable level. All idiots are welcome...no.....encouraged to pay into this suit we're going to launch. No need to worry. Win or lose I'll finally be able to pay for that new Porsche I ordered.

OK. So this story is a little old as it has come and gone but I still feel I need to put in my two cents. As most of you probably know, there was a huge uproar (made most of the evening news casts) over the volume controls on your friendly neighbourhood iPod. Apparently, the volume could be turned up to levels which could affect your long term hearing. Adding to the problem were the iPod's earbud headphones which directed the music straight to your ear canal.

No. No-one mentioned that we all have a choice and that most of us have enough common sense to keep the volume at a safe and enjoyable level. NOOOOOO. Everyone had their panties in a knot because apparently the world is a loud place and as our surroundings got louder, we would automatically turn up the volume to drown the other noise out, which would then be bad for our hearing. No-one seemed to care that if you did this walking down the street you had a much greater chance of being hit by a car since you couldn't hear it coming.

I hate people that make a big deal out of nothing. It seems to me that some people just like to blame everyone else for their stupidity. Like the woman who sued McDonald's when she spilled her cup of coffee and burned herself. What's that? The coffee was boiling hot? Who could have known? The scary thing is is that McDonald's had to pay and put a warning on its cups saying that the coffee was hot. I guess most of us have no feeling in our hands or may get confused by the steam coming from opening in the lid. I guess we should be protected from our own idiocy. I can safely say that I'm not one of the few the slimy the ones who would sue at the first opportunity to simply profit. I chomped down on a screw in my Pizza Pizza pizza and we didn't sue. My brother got seriously ill after eating a Harvey's burger but we didn't sue. I guess that's why now I'm writing free blogs for Bite and not sitting on a beach somewhere drinking a mojito.

I don't know about you but I've listened to an iPod at full blast and it didn't seem that loud to me. Not when I compared it to my old discman and walkman. I couldn't turn either of those two to full blast as it literally hurt my ears. In fact some times I wished I could have turned the iPod even louder. I guess I should sue cause maybe I've lost 1 billionth of my hearing. The walkman and the discman had earbud headphones. No one seemed to care how loud those things were but the iPod is a cultural phenomenon that comes from one company and makes a sick amount of money so people want to cash in to improve what I'm sure are their meaningless lives.

Apple has now released software to set a limit on the volume on the newer iPods. However, in my opinion if you don't have enough brain cells to turn down the volume on your iPod, you couldn't possible figure out how to download the volume control software even though a 4 year old could do it. Let's see where else we can all make some money. You can sue Apple over a device that plays music and has a volume switch you control. Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. I've got it. You can sue virtually all your favourite artists and music labels and promoters for putting on concerts where the music is blasted at levels which are most likely detrimental to your hearing. You can't control those volume levels. This suit should be a slam dunk. Now those of you with half a brain wouldn't bother and the others who are truly paranoid simply wouldn't go. But I'm sure there's someone who's already tried this or will try this in the future cause there's always some bozo that will try to make a quick buck.

Our take on the world, is funny and skewed we admit it. We talk about Jessica Simpson, nipple rings, politics, girls, hot girls, Britney Spears and all the rest of the wacky and weird.
