Dear Bite Babe:
My girlfriend loves to give me hickeys on my neck, but sometimes they can look embarrassing. Do you know how I can get rid of them - fast?Oh hickeys! The other day, my friend actually had a hickey from her boyfriend; and I had to think long and hard about when was the last time that I needed to wear a scarf, because I had one. It was grade 12. My boyfriend at the time had given me a hickey, and since I wore a uniform to school I really had no other option but to lie about it. I claimed it was a scar, because I fell or something... I am sure everyone saw right through it. I mean, how the hell do you fall on your neck. But, I was young, and not really thinking at the time. Which is probably why I let him do it in the first place. I really do think that hickeys have a life span, and that they belong in high school. There is really no room for these broken blood vessel 'love marks' when you're an adult. I mean call me crazy, but I just think they are kinda tacky. Not to mention the fact that there is really no fast cure to get rid of them. I have heard that freezing a spoon and putting it on the area can help, ice or even Vitamin K cream can help with the bruising. However, there is really no 'hickey eraser cream' (hey...some scientist should invent this product...but they probably don't get much action, so they don't see the need for this). Anyway if you have one, you should bring out the concealer, turtlenecks and scarves; because that scar will probably be there for about a week (if my memory serves me correctly). In the future, I would say ask your girlfriend to give you hickeys on other less visible parts of your body, and then she can satisfy her love of ..err ..ummm...'sucking', and you don't have to walk around with a silly love mark.
