Dear BITE BABE,
With the release of Brokeback Mountain and the rise of such shows as Queer Eye For The Straight Guy, it got me thinking bout the 10% sector.
Why is it that it seems to be the "in thing" for girls to make out with girls even if they're not necessarily attracted to each other. but yet it's taboo for guys.
Granted, I've never really desired to make-out with another dude, but I'm just curious about society's perception.

PS. So have you ever dunnit with a chick? And do you think you would do it again? And if you did can I watch? . And bring my camera? So there it is. A PG rated question from Jason (or ejay or jay-e, or whatever you wanna call him).
I myself often wonder what it is that guys love so much about two girls kissing. I mean does it turn you on because two girls kissing suggest the girl’s lack of sexual inhibitions or does it just indicate threesome potential? What is the draw?
To answer the main question, however, I think there are a lot of reasons why most girls have kissed other girls and why men don't. Women are raised to be obsessed with our own beauty and appearance, while men are raised to be focused on other things. We have been brought up observing what is beautiful and what isn't, thus we can easily recognize sexiness and attractiveness in each other. So I think as a result most women are mysteriously attracted to other girls to a certain extent. But I mean who can blame us. We have soft skin, smooth hair, smell good and never have facial hair or stubble.
I think there are other things that trigger girl-on-girl action, such as alcohol. Alcohol doesn’t seem to trigger the same thing between men; instead alcohol usually causes guys to fight. Women are generally physically affectionate with one another, and even more so when tipsy. Kissing feels good, and sometimes women want to be affectionate and it does not have to mean sex. Men on the other hand usually equate intimacy with sex. So if a woman wants physical affection, making out with a girl would be less risky than doing the same thing with a guy. With a girl she would feel safe. With a guy, she might wake up the next day having gone too far and feel like a slut.
But, I do believe that one of the top reasons why girls often end up kissing other girls is to TURN GUYS ON! We know you like it, we know it turns you on, and believe it or not we like the power of turning you on. Whenever girls kiss, or talk about kissing each other guys give them attention. Lots of attention. Girls like attention, is the link so hard to see? For some reason seeing two guys kissing does not turn the majority of girls on, it just does not hold the same feeling of sexuality. So I don't know if I cleared up any great mysteries, but that would be my conclusion to e-jay's interesting and thought provoking question.
P.S. Here's a site for ya, they already thought about the
camera.
