Everyone has pictures of loved ones and special moments posted all over their house, their office, that secret condo for the mistress.....well....maybe not the last one.

Pictures are a big part of our lives. We've moved from huge photo albums to digital photography and storing our pictures on computer while only printing the ones we need to pass onto friends without computers (read: living in the stone age) and for putting in frames. The way we take pictures, store pictures and share pictures is constantly evolving. I remember seeing slide shows of family vacations on a slide projector back in the day.

Now a days, people will show pictures to others on their home or notebook computers, iPods and other MP3 players, and cell phones. These days, the way we show pictures to groups of friends visiting our homes is changing as well. Many a digital camera can be hooked up to a TV so that the pics can be seen by a whole room straight from the camera. This can be a huge convenience as in years past we'd all try to huddle around a photo album and try to get a glimpse of a small 4x6 with limited success in even semi-large crowds.

Either that or you'd wait to have the album passed to you while trying to remember the commentary which was provided to the person before you. Heck, these days I pop in a DVD to share my pictures with friends as I save all my memories in digital slide show format. It works out to be an excellent way to show off the pics but I must say that it does loose some of that album flipping nostalgia.

This holiday season, another piece of technology is getting a big push from photo retailers. The digital frame. basically this looks like your typical photo frame but uses an LCD screen to cycle through a variety of photos based on a timer. It appears to be a great way to show off a variety of pictures without developing the old lady syndrome of covering every empty piece of wall space with a picture frame. The big down side to these things is that they need to be plugged in and they cost about $200 a pop. That could buy ya a whole lotta nice wooden frames to put in more than just one place.....without going overboard of course.

Lastly, people these days no longer seem satisfied with showing off their photos to friends and family. Sites like Flikr.com have provided everyone with the ability to store, manage and share their photos with the entire world.

Yes, I know they say a picture is worth a thousand words, though this blog is actually 458.

Our take on the world, is funny and skewed we admit it. We talk about Jessica Simpson, nipple rings, politics, girls, hot girls, Britney Spears and all the rest of the wacky and weird.
