hey everyone! here's a new topic that people don't really talk about: small names that THINK they're big stars! you see these people that were probably "background actors" in big name movies and probably thought that their roles were credited by anyone. well- the truth is they're usually NOT. backgound actors= extras - just like the small named "celebrities", they're not big YET but since they're working anywhere near their field (whether it be they have a small supporting role or they're working the hot dog stand far off in the background), they still feel the need to brag and boast and walk around like they're the centre of the universe.
that brings me to my next topic: divas! everyone hates to be around a demanding diva- but the problem is- they're EVERYWHERE! they're not always the celebrity that lives in Malibu, California or the trust-fund babies- no- they're also in your backyard, in front of you in line at the grocery store, oh yeah- and they even have a job as a celebrity impersonator (not talking about me though)! i worked with a few who did so many shows as the celebrities they were impersonating, that sadly enough, they THOUGHT they were the real thing so they started to demand things. this is one of the reasons why i'm glad i'm a bitch - because if i were nice, then i'd pretty much be their free servant. when one girl told me to fetch her water (when she was standing like 2 feet away from it) then of course, being vocal i reply "you have arms and hands- you're physically capable to get it yourself" . the demands got worse and worse from just simply handing her a water to asking for someone to get her a platter of fresh, chopped fruit, or the times when she'd get soemone to buckle her shoes... okay enough.
anyways, how come people only hard-core watch the news when theres like a forest fire in new hampshire or if there's a flash flood in mississippi- but noone watches the news for the more permanent issues such as starving children in third world countries or preists who rape young women in ghana.
it's all depressing. americans i don't really think about because, the US, being one of the richer countries in the world- will do everything to make sure the citizens of their nation get through that stuff. in places such as africa, well they may have rich people living in the continent, but it's very sparce in comparison to north america. besides, i haven't seen that many people budge when activists say "there are solutions to every problem- you just have to have knowledge and drive to find them." all i have seen people do is put nickels in little orange boxes- i don't even know where that money is REALLY going to.
