The first step to fixing an addiction, is admitting you have an problem right? Well, I admit it then, I am addicted to online betting...that is shopping on ebay. I won a pair of pants last week, am the current highest bidder for a pair of shoes and have been aggressively searching for a new lap top (mac). The thrill of the win is amazing! Plus, paying online feels like a fake exchange of money. I don't even have to sign for anything. I fear this problem, but not enough to do anything about it just yet.
I feel ok with my problem, knowing that so many other people are addicted to similar online gambling. In my family alone I know my brother has become a fan of those online poker games, while my sister-in-law books all of her vacations on one of those trip auctions web sites. This has taken her on far more vacations then she ever needed. I am sure we can all agree, online gambling/betting has become an epidemic. So I am going to bet on this...there will soon be a massive need for online gambling groups. People can chat in chat rooms about there addictions, and have sponsors that check up on you via email. Unless they already have something like this out there, this would be a great idea for any one interested in cashing in on other people's problems. Don't worry I won't take credit for it, I will just need a percentage of your earnings, just so I can continue to feed my own addiction!
In the end I suppose there are worse things to be addicted to, such as drugs, alcohol or watching the Gilmore Girls (yes eJay I think you have a problem).
