As an avid SPIKEtv viewer I've noticed a ton of promo for THE TRANSPORTER 2 movie that's out in theatres so I figured I'd go and rent the original before I saw the sequel so I know exactly what was going on.

After seeing it this past weekend, I will not be going to see the sequel. This rates up there with one of the WORST action movies I've ever seen. Terrible acting, terrible plot, stereotypical characters, this movie made Vin Diesel flix look fantastic (and I don't even mean his mainsteam stuff like XXX, I mean something like Pitch Black... yeah, that's how bad this film was.)
Perhaps the terrible nature of the film was amplified by the fact that I'm used to seeing Jason Stratham in Guy Ritchie flix like Snatch and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels... two films held in high regard by any action and/or crime film fan. This may have been one of the reasons why even the fight scenes in The Transporter seemed rather lackluster since they didn't possess the Guy Ritchie touch!
So after wasting nearly two hours of my life sitting through this 'film' on the weekend, I must ask the question... why... why would there be a sequel?
Needless to say after that experience, I won't be lining up to see it.
