Lock your doors, close your windows, hide yo’ kids, hide yo’ wife, and hide yo’ puppies, cause Steven Seagal may be handing out pain and death. During the filming of a segment of Steven Seagal: Lawman, Seagal lead a SWAT charge on the home of Jesus Llovera, who was said to be running a cockfighting scheme out of the home. After breaking into his house, Seagal and the team killed 100 or so chickens that were on the man’s property, and caught in the midst of the firefight was an 11-month-old puppy.
Aside from filing a lawsuit for the damages, Llovera has demanded an apology letter from Seagal to his kids, as the puppy’s death greatly upset them. Seagal is apparently outraged by this demand and accusation, and Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is wondering where the photographic evidence of this supposed “dead puppy” is.
So, if you’re running an illegal business out of the home, remember to keep your pets well hidden. Oh, and what of the dead chickens? Does no one care about them? It just goes to show you that indeed one dead puppy is a tragedy; 100 or so dead chickens is a statistic… and delicious when fried. You’ve been warned.
