Part optometrist’s chart, part geek quiz and part typography nerd poster, this Sci-fi Eye Test features 36 letters pulled from the logos of games, comics and movie titles. We dare you to try and guess them all.

As an incentive, the first person to get them all in the correct order wins a poster of the Sci-fi Eye Test. Leave your answers in the comments below. Or buy your own copy.

The A in 10 does not match any images from Planet of the Apes that I can find (nor does it match Arena too well). The A in 21 is Aliens (less bold than ID4). The S in 22 does not match any images from Metal Gear Solid that I can find, nor any Star Treks. The B in 29 is not Back to the Future (the holes in the B in Back to the future are both the same small square shape, and the B is always tilted to the left instead). I’m not sure about Wolverine, Pacman, or Transformers, but I won’t criticize because they are close and I can’t see anything better.

However, I feel that many of these fonts do not match the official logos for the films or shows that they are inspired by.

**Sourcing this page (http://dinara.teamvenom-nfsu2.com/font.php) which these fonts were most likely taken from. However, these do not in any way reflect the actual source logos. Planet of the Apes does not have that “A”, nor does MGS have that “S”, nor does BTTF have that “B”. I am not happy that this poster does not actually contain the genuine logos, but some third-party font version of them.

ahhh…the one sheet! I never even saw that while looking for that last one. I’m also a little nonplussed about them not using the correct font in some cases, but it looks like they’re using all freeware fonts so they don’t have to pay the licensing rights to use bits of the real logs.
